The Language of Beauty
" One day, I hurt myself. I cried out and gasped up all the air and held it in to contain my physical pain. When I looked down at her standing below me, her arms were outstretched and her eyes were puddles of tears. When I opened my eyes and made contact with hers, she wailed and reached up to give me a hug."

It's Women's History Month, so I thought I'd say a quick hello.
I believe more than ever that: History is now.
What each of us does today is our tomorrow. That idea is evermore present now that my first babe, Sophia, is 18 months old. She was just 3 months when these photos were taken on a day I brought her to work.
I've marveled these last months at how much she understands - without words. How nuanced her communication can be - without words. I've gotten good at reading her looks. And more impressive is how good she is at reading mine.
She felt my pain. I could not help but think - "wow, that's magic".
