“It’s such a lovely idea to turn something so negative into something beautiful”
In March 2017, Emma Watson wore our Dome Earrings. But it wasn't quite that simple.
We got word that Eco Age had requested samples of our jewelry to potentially dress Emma on her press tour. So exciting. Minor problem: the pieces needed to be in London by noon Monday. It was Friday and no carrier could guarantee timely delivery. We quickly flew our intern out to hand deliver the pieces. But when Sunday came our intern couldn't them. We realized they were accidentally left in the office!
Elizabeth Suda rushed to JFK, ready to put her pride in her pocket in the hopes of finding a kind, London-bound stranger to deliver the earrings.⠀

• Turn Fashion Into Impact • Those who know me, know I like gifts which are #meaningful and eventually #giveback. This little bracelet is a very special one indeed . . . with a #dark #history. It’s an aluminum fragment from a #bomb, melted and shaped into a #circle, a #bracelet, a #reminder. ———————————————————————— This wearable part of #history belongs to the traces left by the #VietnamWar , which not only affected the mentioned country but also its neighboring countries. Between 1964 and 1973, against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, the Secret War was waged in neutral #Laos. To contain the spread of #communism, American B-52s dropped an #average of #one #bomb load every 8 minutes. 24 hours a day. For nine years. ———————————————————————— 80 million of the 250 million bombs dropped failed to #detonate to this date. A #silent killer to many #residents still living in the area. But a difference can be made: each @article_22 purchased contributes to MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to #safely and #expertly clear some of those #unexplored bombs contaminating land on Laos. A simple gesture which gives back to support #tradition #Laotian artisan livelihoods, #village development and further de-mining #efforts. Bravo to the founders for transforming #bad into #beautiful! 👏🏻❤️

You can’t tell (cuz I’m a good lil’ actress) but these earrings have me over-the-moon! 🌚 A month or so ago, I worked on a pilot, and must’ve done a decent job because our executive producer, @jeromegreenwald just surprised me with these @article_22 beauts as a wrap-gift! Better yet, they’re made of upcycled shrapnel... each piece helps clear war-ravaged land in Laos. I just love ❤️ the idea of transforming ugly history into beautiful art as symbols of hope & peace... It’s actually what our pilot is all about! 🙏🏼✌🏼#waitforit #loveisthebomb #article22 #peacebomb #gratitude #secretwar #indochina #xiengkhouang #laos #mag #minesadvisorygroup #sustainablefashion #socialimpact
